Being a wrestling and baseball coach means much more to me than teaching skills or winning games, it’s about shaping young people into confident, resilient, and respectful adults. It’s a chance to pass on lessons about discipline, teamwork, and perseverance that go beyond the mat or the field. Every practice, match, and game is an opportunity to build character and to create memories that will last long after their athletic careers are over. Coaching gives me the privilege of being a mentor, a supporter, and sometimes just someone who believes in them when they need it most.
Being a father to two great, active boys is the most rewarding and humbling experience of my life. It means being their biggest fan, their teacher, their protector, and sometimes just a steady hand to guide them through the ups and downs of growing up. Every day with them is an adventure, whether it's playing catch, working through challenges, or just cheering them on. They constantly inspire me to be better, to stay patient, and to appreciate the little moments that make up a lifetime of memories. Watching them grow, learn, and chase their passions fills me with pride and a deep sense of purpose that nothing else can match.
